LÄKARE – TARGU MURES MEDICAL CAMPUS HAMBURG

How demanding have the studies been so far?
There is a lot of content to cover but it is spaced out well, and there is enough time to prepare yourself for the lectures ahead of time. They also provide days off before exams for preparation time.

How are the teachers?
The teachers are good, friendly and knowledgeable in their field. The year is divided into 4 modules, and the teachers are only present during the module in which they have classes to teach. They are open to questions.

How is the teaching, school building and indoor environment, equipment?
I’m satisfied with the teaching. It’s not too slow, nor too fast. The content is uploaded before the classes for us to read beforehand. There are also designated counseling sessions that are scheduled in where students can ask questions and practise anatomy on the models and equipment. The building is smaller than I expected, but they are expanding it.

They have recently added a library and new study space. There are also lounges with sofas, coffee machines, vending machines and a microwave for students’ use. There are no assigned lockers though. There are open study rooms and private ones that can be booked for individual/group use with whiteboards.

The equipment is very modern. We have models and anatomage tables for anatomy, and the science labs are well-equipped. The school provides us with textbooks we can borrow, and the Complete Anatomy app. They also offer German classes from A1 to B2 level.

Have you passed all exams so far?
Yes I have. The exams are of varying difficulty but manageable if preparation is started in time. The content can accumulate very quickly so it is important to start early. There are both theoretical and practical exams, the content of which depend on the subject.

Good luck with you future studies!
